ABOUT ME
Art = me.
In my free time I’m usually creating something. I craft, write, direct, and build puppets. Anything that involves creativity or conceptualizing an idea, count me in.
My brain is almost always turning over an idea. I’m thinking about characters, tone, whole worlds that don’t exist yet. I’m especially drawn to the beginning of a project, when it’s just a small idea and you’re figuring it out with other artists. That stage where you’re building something from nothing. That’s the space I feel most like myself.
I am never afraid of the weird. I am drawn to stories and visuals that sit just outside the ordinary, that feel a little off, a little magical, and deeply human. As a gender queer artist from Los Angeles, my identity naturally weaves into my work. I tend to incorporate the natural joke of life and the ironic comedy found in our everyday moments. At the center of everything I make, I always embrace play.
