Writing
I started writing years ago in my bedroom, with my cats as my toughest critics, and my work has since grown into short films and stage plays. I write across mediums, but I’m especially drawn to work that embraces the comedy of the everyday and the natural play we all use. I love building worlds with a clear, dramatized tone and a touch of art-funk, grounded in strong concepts and even bigger characters. I write to spill the stories in my head, to make sense of life in my own way. Some themes I gravitate to: transness, jealousy and desire, the cost of being a “Winner,” the absurdity of systems, magic, and what exists beyond this world.
An Alien appears on a suburban roof; navigating transitioning, and self-discovery.
